Tangle and Disentangle

A man who is wise, established on virtue,
Developing the mind and wisdom,
A bhikkhu who is ardent and discerning:
He can disentangle this tangle.
Those in whom lust and hatred too
Along with ignorance have been expunged,
The arahants with taints destroyed:
For them the tangle is disentangled.

Hi Jendhamuni, I like the post. I was wondering if u could let me kno of a text th@ explains Buddhisms basics, I don't mind if the explanations r not so basic, I enjoy deep thinkn, & the topic of spiritual growth is the subject I find most interesting & fascinating, I av bn on this path 4 yrs, so it's not a whim. I was wondering if u av heard of spiritual alchemy, I blieve the Hindu's practise it, I av read a little on the subject, but I don't kno if it's a real phenomena, I do kno the mind can take u 2 beautiful places & can make a person feel extremely happy, it also works the other way, if ur mind suffers from a lack of discipline. If u r familiar wit the above-mentioned topic, any knowledge on the matter would b greatly appreciated,, I c amazing potential th@ can b realised if it is a real occurrence, I've had a few experiences th@ lead me 2 blieve, 'spiritual alchemy', is a real thing, but I am far from sure, take care my fren 🙂

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
