1. A good heart will always remain

    Comment

A pretty face will get old,
    A nice body will change,
but a good heart will always remain.
    ~Unknown

“It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.” ~Andrew David

  2. Sunset Lover

    407

Your love is like a sunset,
    wild, bright and true.
    The colours blend together,
    forming a magical hue.
    The day’s warm caress
    is slipping through the air,
    just as though your fingers
would be slipping through my hair.

I sit and watch the sunset,
    knowing it soon will end,
    thinking of you and
waiting ’til we will be together again.
    Slowly now it’s going,
    coming to an end.
    Darkness may be closing in,
but the fun has just begun.

For now I can go home,
    go to my darkened room,
    lie on the bed and
    close my eyes,
fall asleep and dream of you.

  3. Today’s forecast

    Comment

    Today’s weather forecast
It would be cloudy if you frown
    Rainy if you cry
    Clear if you are happy
    Sunny if you smile
    Stormy if you sing
    Have a sweet day
    Today,
    And every day.

    Today I pray for you:
    A heart free of sadness

  5. A lamp inside us

    Comment

We have a lamp inside us. The oil of that lamp is our breathing, our steps, and our peaceful smile. Our practice is to light up the lamp. The moment you wake up, right away, you can smile…. You are aware that a new day is beginning, that life is offering you twenty-four brand new hours to live, and that that’s the most precious of gifts. Spiritual practice is possible for all of us. You cannot say, ‘I’m just too busy, I have no time for meditation.’ No. Walking from one building to another, walking from the parking lot to your office, you can always enjoy walking mindfully, and enjoy every one of your steps.  ~Thich Nhat Hanh

Waking up to a new day is a gift,
appreciate it and do remember you are loved.

  7. Positive Frame Of Mind

    76

When you consistently maintain a positive frame of mind, you’ll become known as a problem-solver rather than a complainer. People avoid complainers. They seek out problem-solvers. ~ Joseph Sommerville

  8. The Art of Love

    71

Love one another and you will be happy.
It’s as simple and as difficult as that.

    ~Michael Leunig

  9. Holding on to Anger

    67

    Holding on to anger,
    resentment and hurt
    only gives you tense muscles,
a headache and a sore jaw
    from clenching your teeth.
    Forgiveness gives you back
    the laughter and the lightness
    in your life.

    ~Joan Lunden

  10. I never walk backward

    42

    I fell down many times,
    but will always get up
    and continue to move forward
    till reaching my destination…

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
