1. Silent, beautiful and calm…

An angel asked me, “What is your wish today?”
I said “Please take care of the person who’s reading this message.”

The day is silent, beautiful, calm, quiet… but the day is not complete

  2. As sunshine into trees

Climb mountains and get their good tidings, natures peace will flow into you as sunshine into trees. The winds will blow their freshness into you, and the storms their energy, whiles cares will drop away from you like leaves of autumn. ~John Muir  Link to Google+

  3. Dwelling Happily in the Present Moment

    Comment

Aware that life is available only in the present moment, we are committed to training ourselves to live deeply each moment of daily life. We will try not to lose ourselves in dispersion or be carried away by regrets about the past, worries about the future, or cravings, anger, or jealousy in the present. We will practice mindful breathing to be aware of what is happening in the here and now. We are determined to learn the art of mindful living by touching the wondrous, refreshing, and healing elements that are inside and around us, in all situations. In this way, we will be able to cultivate seeds of joy, peace, love, and understanding in ourselves, thus facilitating the work of transformation and healing in our consciousness. We are aware that happiness depends primarily on our mental attitude and not on external conditions, and that we can live happily in the present moment simply by remembering that we already have more than enough conditions to be happy. ~Thich Nhat Hanh Link to Google+

    After every storm the sun will smile;
for every problem there is a solution,

  6. Never mistake…

    Comment

Never mistake having great physical characteristics for being a truly attractive person. It is only those who are willing to be real with their selves and real with others at all times that are actually wildly attractive. It is those who have not a care in the world for how society tells them to dress, and how society tells them to talk and walk, that makes them wildly attractive. It is those who make attempts to change the world in a direction more towards world peace, and who are more concerned with seeing the world become a better place than they are with allowing the world to see them with make-up on or the freshest outfit on at the mall. You have a choice, you can either work hard at being yourself and being wildly attractive, or you can aim to please everyone around you. ~ by J. Johnson

  7. Think about it…

    Comment

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is smile. We all have rough days, and we all go through experiences in life that we honestly wish we didn’t have to. But it is only when we are able to take a second, and smile about the blessings we have in life that we realize how important it is to just smile.

We have all heard many times how fortunate we are as people compared to others. Think about it. Right now you have access to the Internet that millions of unfortunate souls don’t have. Think of how much of a blessing that being able to acquire information from such a rich resource is, and how much just this one thing helps to impact your life.

Never get so caught up in life’s stresses that you forget about what is really important. Smile, laugh, love, cry, be you, give to others, and promote peace! ~by J. Johnson

  8. How much love you have…

Don’t worry about how much money you have
and how you are going to spend it. Worry about
how much love you have, that way, you can spend
your life happily. ~Michelle C. Ustaszeski

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
