1. Think about that

    What is more painful?
When a person whom you trust, hurts you?
or the person whom you hurt, still trusts you?
    Think about that.

  3. Dog teaching baby how to crawl

    Comment

Every parent wants the same thing for their child — to be happy, healthy and to know that they’re loved. Sure, in this instance, the parents in question have four legs, fur and a staggering inability to resist that last dinner roll that you left out on the counter. Also, the babies are human. But the sentiment remains the same! Species differences aside, those who view themselves in a parental position wish their charges only the best of things.

Dogs are pretty well known for feeling like the babies in their lives are theirs to look after. For example, did you know that pit bulls were once referred to as the “nanny breed?” This behavior has roots in a dog’s desire to please and their understanding that they belong to a family unit or “pack.”  They observe the nurturing behaviors in us to love and care for this little being, and they instinctively want to be a part of it, usually creating priceless moments of bonding in the process that last a lifetime. 4. I’m a Dreamer

    Comment

You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us. And the world will live as one. ― John Lennon

“When I say it’s you I like, I’m talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed.”

    ― Fred Rogers

  5. One of the biggest risks we face

    Comment

Stress. It is probably one of the biggest risks we face. The more worried you are that you might get sick, the more likely it is that you will, or if you do get sick that you’ll end up sicker, or even dead, from an illness you might have survived if you just didn’t worry so much. The more worried you are about the health of your heart, the more damage you do to your heart. The more worried you are about losing your memory, the more your memory fades. The list of damage that worry can do, because of the biology of stress, is long and scary. Which means that not worrying more than we have to may be the best thing we can do for our health.

What are the strongest days of the week? Saturday and Sunday. All the rest are weak days. Sometimes unanswered prayers are the best. You never know what God has in store for you. Keep praying, you never know where God will lead you. ~SantaBanta sms

  7. Not because they give you what you need…

    Comment

Like a flower cannot blossom without sunshine, I cannot live without your love. Love someone not because they give you what you need; but because they give you feelings you never thought you needed. When you start loving somebody, you start caring about yourself. But

  8. Kitties are in charge…

    Comment

With patience and understanding you can teach any old dog new tricks, depending on what you are trying to teach, or un-teach the dog, which is usually more difficult. Dogs can learn at any age, and like humans, it’s just old habits that are hard to break! A cat will almost never meow at another cat. Cats use this sound for humans.

Cats, unlike dogs, do not learn tricks to win your approval. Cats can be taught to perform tasks such as retrieving toys and jumping through hoops – but it may take patience and perseverance…and quite a few yummy treats for your feline. Source: Animal Leaque

Live & Die for Buddhism

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
