1. Dog and Bone

    Comment

    Human faces are known to be asymmetrical, with people instinctively moving their gaze to the right side of a face when they meet someone and try to discern their emotional state. Dogs have developed the same instinct when encountering a human, despite the fact that they do not do this when meeting other dogs. No other non-primate is known to do this. Source: OneKind

    Comment

    A smile is a sign of joy;
    A hug is a sign of love;
    A laugh is a sign of happiness;
    And a friend like me, well – that’s a sign
    of good taste. ~Santabanta sms

  3. You are a child of the universe

    Comment

    Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
    you have a right to be here. ~Max Ehrmanm, Desiderata

  4. A confusing role

    Comment

    Memories play a confusing role. They make us laugh when we remember
    the times that we cried together. But make us cry when we remember the times
    that we laughed together. ~Santabanta sms

  5. When people hurt you

    Comment

    When people hurt you over and over again, think of them as a sandpaper.
    They may scratch and hurt you but it’s you – who’ll turn up shining and polished,
    while they’ll end up useless. ~Santabanta sms

    Explain your anger, don’t express it. It’ll immediately open the door to solutions

  7. A girl like you

    Comment

    Boy: Sweetie, let’s play a game.
    Girl: Which game?
    Boy: Anything, but not Hide & Seek.
    Girl: Why?
    Boy: Because a girl like you is impossible to find!

  8. The one who touches your soul

    Comment

    Always remain with that person in your life… who touches your
    thought and your soul – rather than someone who considers
    you simply a time-pass. ~Santabanta sms

  9. Kitty and a lemon

    Comment

    It has been suggested that cats actually began hissing after hearing snakes hiss. This behavior may actually originate from imitating snakes. Your cat might really be a copy cat! Because snakes can be so deadly, other animals know to pay attention and shy away from its characteristic hiss. The hiss is a warning to other animals or people to stay away, whether it comes from a snake or an unhappy cat. A cat’s hissing is often a result of fear. The introduction of another animal into the home, for example, another
    cat or a dog, is a common reason for a cat to hiss. Anything or anyone a
    cat doesn’t know scares it and so it hisses as a defense mechanism. Source: omgfacts

    Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference.
    They bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver.

Me & Grandma

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
