Yes, forgiveness is for the forgiver, not the forgiven:-) Old African story; If you are badly wronged you have the choice to decide the fate of person who hurt you. They are pushed out into the Ocean on a few small boards and will die, so as the victim you can decide to go ahead and let them die and hold onto your grief forever, OR forgive them and save their life. If you decide to forgive you are free from grief. I always thought that was such a true thing.
