1. Nature and Trees Birds – Beautiful Farm Animals

    12

Thanks to my dearest youtube sister, Menu. I love her videos so much

"This farm was such a beautiful attraction at Birds World. Once you are inside, it feels like as if you had a farm. You feel so much at home. Some birds & animals roam freely inside. There were so many farm animals inside it. The farm was very special for small children. Not even children even adults can enjoy it. There is a special programme called Animal Encounters where children can touch & cuddle the smaller animals like rabbits, gunea pigs etc. I also captured a few scenes from this for those who love farm animals a lot. 3. Little ducklings

    Even as a mother
    protects with her life
    Her child, her only child,
    So with a boundless heart
    Should one cherish
    all living beings.

What do the teachings of Buddhism say about animal rights?

In Buddhism the highest and universal ideal is to continually work for a permanent end to the suffering of all creatures, not just the human animal, but all animals, all living beings without exception.

In Buddhism there are five precepts, codes of moral conduct, the first of which is an injunction against destroying life. Buddha laid great emphasis on the fact that the restriction on casing harm applied not only to human beings but to all creatures all "living beings."

Here is Buddha's response on an occasion when he came across a flock of sheep being driven towards the city of Rajagaha to be sacrificed.

Among the sheep a lamb was injured and Buddha feeling compassion for the poor creature picked him up, followed the shepherds into the city and prevented the sacrifice from taking place by asking King Bimbisara to stop animal sacrifices saying:

All beings tremble before danger, all fear death. When a man considers this, he does not kill or cause to kill.

All beings fear before danger, life is dear to all. When a man considers this, he does not kill or cause to kill.

  4. Have Compassion for all beings

See how adorable he is, how could we kill him for our food…

My heart was broken when I saw this cute little ducking and his siblings in the box, hatching from the fertilized eggs. For any of you who love consuming fertilize eggs, please think twice before boiling them for your meal. Living beings are living inside those eggs awaiting to come out to see the sunshine in our beautiful world, just like us…Jendhamuni #wp

  6. Every person alive wants happiness

    16

    The Honest Truth

Every person alive wants happiness — even common animals struggle to find happiness — but our actions for the most part aren’t in line with our intentions. This is why we don’t get to realize the happiness we want, simply because there’s no truth to us. For example, when people come to the monastery: If they come to make offerings, observe the precepts, and sit in meditation for the sake of praise or a good reputation, there’s no real merit to what they’re doing. They don’t gain any real happiness from it, so they end up disappointed and dissatisfied. Then they start saying that offerings, precepts, and meditation don’t give any good results. Instead of reflecting on the fact that they weren’t right and honest in doing these things, they say that there’s no real good to the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha, that the Buddha’s teachings are a lot of nonsense and lies. But actually the Buddha’s teachings are an affair of the truth. If a person isn’t true to the Buddha’s teachings, the Buddha’s teachings won’t be true to that person — and that person won’t be able to know what the Buddha’s true teachings are.

Shantidevas’ Bodhisattva vows

My reflection

Should anyone wish to ridicule me and make me an object of jest and scorn why should I possibly care if I have dedicated myself to others?

Let them do as they wish with me so long as it does not harm them. May no one who encounters me ever have an insignificant contact.

Regardless whether those whom I meet respond towards me with anger or faith, may the mere fact of our meeting contribute to the fulfilment of their wishes.

May the slander, harm and all forms of abuse that anyone should direct towards me act as a cause of their enlightenment.

As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame and praise. As a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become tranquil after they listened to the truth…

Good people walk on regardless of what happens to them. Good people do not babble on about their desires. Whether touched by happiness or by sorrow, the wise never appear elated or depressed. ~The Dhammapada

Beauty in nature

A beautiful object has no intrinsic quality that is good for the mind, nor an ugly object any intrinsic power to harm it. Beautiful and ugly are just projections of the mind. The ability to cause happiness or suffering is not a property of the outer object itself. For example, the sight of a particular individual can cause happiness to one person and suffering to another. It is the mind that attributes such qualities to the perceived object. — Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Nature is loved by what is best in us. The sky, the mountain, the tree, the animal, give us a delight in and for themselves. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Our journey for peace
begins today and every day.
Each step is a prayer,
Each step is a meditation,
Each step will build a bridge.
