1. Strange Dream

    33

    I keep having this nightmare:

Someone is trying to kill me.
For some reasons, I never fight back.
    I just closed my eyes,
awaiting that person to kill me…
"Must be time for me to die,"
    I said silently.

    Same exact dream, last night.
The third time I had this dream.

  2. The greatest destroyer of peace

    19

The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between. ~Mother Teresa

  3. The Moon Is Shining Bright

    15

    The moon is shining bright,
The sun is now nowhere in sight.
The stars are twinkling with all their might,
While there's darkness outside, left & right.
So let us now turn off the light,
and wish each other a very good night.

  4. Quality of Life

    24

Our success as a nation is not measured by how many years we have governed or how many wars we have won. It is measured by the quality of life which we have created for the society that our ideals were founded upon.

  5. Learn how to criticise yourself

    21

The very purpose of religion is to control yourself, not to criticise others. Rather, we must criticise ourselves.
    • How much am I doing about my anger?
    • About my attachment,
    • about my hatred,
    • about my pride,
    • my jealousy?
These are the things which we must check in daily life.

  6. More snow coming this week!!!!!

    32

My body is still in pain,
I do not want any more snow :))))))))

With Snow Mounds Already Piled High, More Wintry Weather Expected. Keep those shovels and ice scrapers handy Boston, because additional snowfall is in the forecast. As public works crews continue to battle what was left by the historic winter storm over the weekend, weather experts are calling for more snow to blanket the Northeast this week.

  7. A true friend

    40

A true friend is the one who picks you up when you fall
A true friend is one that won't lie
A true friend is there when you call
A true friend is there when you want to die
A true friend knows just what to say
A true friend won't care what other people think
A true friend will help you find your way
A true friend will make sure you don't sink
A true friend will help you choose your path
A true friend will know when something is wrong
A true friend has to sometimes face your wrath
A true friend makes you feel like you belong
    A true friend

  8. I messed up my g+ circles

    43

I tried to organize my g+ circles,
but instead messed them up big time.
I accidently removed some friends from
the circles. I am going to add them back.
    Please forgive me…

  9. Breathing and Smiling

    29

To me, breathing is a joy that I cannot miss. Every day, I practice conscious breathing, and in my small meditation room, I have calligraphed this sentence: “Breathe, you are alive!” Just breathing and smiling can make us very happy, because when we breathe consciously we recover ourselves completely and encounter life in the present moment.

  10. Knowing who you are

    56

Only one thing I expect from all of you: to be yourself, to discover your inner beauty, your purity of consciousness, your hidden splendor — and spread it to as many people as possible. People are miserable. Help them to laugh a little, to sing a little, to dance a little. ~Osho

Shantidevas’ Bodhisattva vows

My reflection

Should anyone wish to ridicule me and make me an object of jest and scorn why should I possibly care if I have dedicated myself to others?

Let them do as they wish with me so long as it does not harm them. May no one who encounters me ever have an insignificant contact.

Regardless whether those whom I meet respond towards me with anger or faith, may the mere fact of our meeting contribute to the fulfilment of their wishes.

May the slander, harm and all forms of abuse that anyone should direct towards me act as a cause of their enlightenment.

As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame and praise. As a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become tranquil after they listened to the truth…

Good people walk on regardless of what happens to them. Good people do not babble on about their desires. Whether touched by happiness or by sorrow, the wise never appear elated or depressed. ~The Dhammapada

Beauty in nature

A beautiful object has no intrinsic quality that is good for the mind, nor an ugly object any intrinsic power to harm it. Beautiful and ugly are just projections of the mind. The ability to cause happiness or suffering is not a property of the outer object itself. For example, the sight of a particular individual can cause happiness to one person and suffering to another. It is the mind that attributes such qualities to the perceived object. — Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Nature is loved by what is best in us. The sky, the mountain, the tree, the animal, give us a delight in and for themselves. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Our journey for peace
begins today and every day.
Each step is a prayer,
Each step is a meditation,
Each step will build a bridge.
