1. Be the living expression of God's kindness

    12

I like how Mother Teresa put it: "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile." If you approach life this way, always looking for ways to build instead of to tear down, you'll be amazed at how much happiness you can give to others and find for yourself. ~Sean Covey
  2. Nobody has a perfect life

    31

Nobody has a perfect life. We all have own problems. Standout and learn how to deal with it in a better way. Stop giving up hope, because you never know; it could still happen. Life is all about taking risks. If you stop taking risks, then you'll never know what you are capable of. When you let go of what is not meant to be, you clear a path for good stuff to find you. You were born to be real, not to be perfect. You are here to be you, not to live someone else's life. Live your life now you are magnificent in your own way of dealing with life. ~Kemmy Nola
  3. Having to let go of things in your life

    52

They say you don't know what you have until it's gone. But the truth is, you knew exactly what you had; you just thought you'd never lose it.

Its true that sometimes we really don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we never may know the things in life that we have lacked in until they arrives. In order to live your best life sometimes you are faced with having to let go of things in your life that you never thought that you would have to let go of. The things in life that make us happy are things in life that we must take proper care of, but are things that sometimes die for reasons that have nothing to do with our own lives.

Sometimes we are faced with the question of losing something or someone and we then give the effort that we should have always given. Finding a delicate balance in life is a very difficult task, but we must give forth a mighty effort in everything we do at all times, doing so will show that you are always appreciative for what you have, and will make instances in your life that you are forced to let go easier, because chances are it won't be your fault that you are forced to let go. 4. The Little Things

    509

The little things are most worthwhile–
    A quiet word, a look, a smile,
A listening ear that's quick to share
    Another's thoughts, another's care…
Though sometimes they may seem quite small,
These little things mean most of all.

  5. kindness

    119

What could be greater than to realize this?
That kindness is the way to all gain and all knowing
That kindness is the only thing that ever matters
What else is there to be which takes us further
Than being kind to someone for no reason?
    Other than to be kind!

Loving those around us is the only way to anything
Because there’s no distinction between them and us
When we give to someone, we give to ourselves as well
Not because giving might bring us some nice reward
But because that person is us and we are them!
Not just similar to us, for that's not enough
We're each guided by the same force
And made of the very same stuff!
Kindness is our greatest gift to ourselves
Kindness is our birthright and our responsibility
    Kindness is our way home
Kindness is the true religion of all the universe!

  6. The Rose

    89

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. Funny, it seems to by keeping it's dreams; it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared. ~Tupac Shakur
  7. All hold up love as an ideal

    166

I maintain that Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism all hold up love as an ideal, seek to benefit humanity through spiritual practice, and strive to make their followers better people. All religions teach moral precepts for the advancement of mind, body, speech, and action: do not lie or steal or take others’ lives, and so on. Unselfishness is the common foundation laid down by all great spiritual teachers. Dalai Lama

Shantidevas’ Bodhisattva vows

My reflection

Should anyone wish to ridicule me and make me an object of jest and scorn why should I possibly care if I have dedicated myself to others?

Let them do as they wish with me so long as it does not harm them. May no one who encounters me ever have an insignificant contact.

Regardless whether those whom I meet respond towards me with anger or faith, may the mere fact of our meeting contribute to the fulfilment of their wishes.

May the slander, harm and all forms of abuse that anyone should direct towards me act as a cause of their enlightenment.

As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame and praise. As a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become tranquil after they listened to the truth…

Good people walk on regardless of what happens to them. Good people do not babble on about their desires. Whether touched by happiness or by sorrow, the wise never appear elated or depressed. ~The Dhammapada

Beauty in nature

A beautiful object has no intrinsic quality that is good for the mind, nor an ugly object any intrinsic power to harm it. Beautiful and ugly are just projections of the mind. The ability to cause happiness or suffering is not a property of the outer object itself. For example, the sight of a particular individual can cause happiness to one person and suffering to another. It is the mind that attributes such qualities to the perceived object. — Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Nature is loved by what is best in us. The sky, the mountain, the tree, the animal, give us a delight in and for themselves. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Our journey for peace
begins today and every day.
Each step is a prayer,
Each step is a meditation,
Each step will build a bridge.
