1. You are not disturbed inside

    Comment

Silence is something that comes from your heart, not from outside.
Silence doesn’t mean not talking and not doing things; it means
that you are not disturbed inside. If you’re truly silent, then no matter
what situation you find yourself in, you can enjoy the silence.

     ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

  2. By remembering you…

    Comment

Happiness is not something you postpone for the future.
It’s something you design for the present.
Make each moment a happy one.
I just did it by remembering you!

Let wind blow away your sadness
Let rain wash away your worries
    Let sun bring you warmth
Let new day bring you hope & happiness.

    ~SMS to Say

  3. When you pray…

    Comment

Prayer is only another name for good, clean, direct thinking. When you pray, think well what you are saying, and make your thoughts into things that are solid. In that manner, your prayer will have strength, and that strength shall become part of you, mind, body, and spirit. ~Richard Llewellyn

  4. A bright day…

    Comment

    Hope this new day
and every day of your life
    gives you lots of reasons
    to smile and be happy.

Life is too short to hold grudges,
fight with people and be unhappy.
so let go of the pain and
    enjoy a bright day ahead!

  5. The stars are out…

    Comment

The stars are out, the moon is up,
Moon has come to color your dreams,
    Stars to make them musical
and my colorful rose to give you a warm
    and peaceful sleep.

    In this lovely night,
I pray to the blue moon to protect you through the night
the wind to blow away your stress
and the twinkle stars to guide you the way…

  6. Faith looks up…

    Comment

“Whatever is going to happen will happen, whether we worry or not.” ~Ana Monnar
Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, Faith looks up. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage. Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

  7. It never troubles the sun…

    Comment

I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and the new.
Why should I cumber myself with regrets that the receiver is not capacious? It never troubles the sun that some of his rays fall wide and vain into ungrateful space, and only a small part on the reflecting planet. Let your greatness educate the crude and cold companion.

    ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Shantidevas’ Bodhisattva vows

My reflection

Should anyone wish to ridicule me and make me an object of jest and scorn why should I possibly care if I have dedicated myself to others?

Let them do as they wish with me so long as it does not harm them. May no one who encounters me ever have an insignificant contact.

Regardless whether those whom I meet respond towards me with anger or faith, may the mere fact of our meeting contribute to the fulfilment of their wishes.

May the slander, harm and all forms of abuse that anyone should direct towards me act as a cause of their enlightenment.

As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame and praise. As a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become tranquil after they listened to the truth…

Good people walk on regardless of what happens to them. Good people do not babble on about their desires. Whether touched by happiness or by sorrow, the wise never appear elated or depressed. ~The Dhammapada

Beauty in nature

A beautiful object has no intrinsic quality that is good for the mind, nor an ugly object any intrinsic power to harm it. Beautiful and ugly are just projections of the mind. The ability to cause happiness or suffering is not a property of the outer object itself. For example, the sight of a particular individual can cause happiness to one person and suffering to another. It is the mind that attributes such qualities to the perceived object. — Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Nature is loved by what is best in us. The sky, the mountain, the tree, the animal, give us a delight in and for themselves. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Our journey for peace
begins today and every day.
Each step is a prayer,
Each step is a meditation,
Each step will build a bridge.
