1. Compassion is what makes our lives meaningful

    Comment

One thing we can do is, we can practice forgiveness, and underlying forgiveness is the ability to distinguish between the individual and the act. Spirituality is like a medicine. To heal the illness, it is not sufficient to look at the medicine and talk about it. You have to ingest it.

When you encounter some problems, if you point your finger at yourself and not at others, this gives you control over yourself and calmness in a situation, where otherwise self-control becomes problematic.  ~Dalai Lama

  2. Faith and Love

    Comment

Faith brings two people together and it is loves job to keep them
together. If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love,
you have to find the courage to live it. ~Author Unknown

  3. Words and mood…

    Comment

Don’t mix bad words with your bad mood. You’ll have many opportunities
to change a mood, but you’ll never get the opportunity to replace
the words you spoke. ~Nishan Panwar

  4. No substitute for best friend

    Comment

There is no substitute for best friend. Even if the whole world has let you down your best friend will step in to offer a helping hand. Best friend is one mind in two bodies. A best find will always be by your side and they are similar to stars, that is, even if you do not see them always, you know they are always there. Roosevelt says, “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only best friends will leave foot prints in your heart”

  5. Uneasy feelings

    Comment

Don’t blame others for your uneasy feelings; blame your own state of mind. This is why altruism brings you greater peace of mind. When you think everything is someone else’s fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy. ~Dalai Lama

  6. Wating for autumn…

    Comment

You have to accept the fact that you are living alone — maybe in a crowd, but you are living alone.

If you want to come to meet reality…..And to meet reality is to meet God.  God is not something hiddden somewhere in the sky, it is the reality around you.  God is not hidden; you are hidden in an unreality.  God is the nearest immediate presence, but you are hidden in a capsule of your own unreal world and you go on protecting it– and the center of it is the ego. ~Osho

  7. Always there, watching

    Comment

The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections. ~Tahereh Mafi

Shantidevas’ Bodhisattva vows

My reflection

Should anyone wish to ridicule me and make me an object of jest and scorn why should I possibly care if I have dedicated myself to others?

Let them do as they wish with me so long as it does not harm them. May no one who encounters me ever have an insignificant contact.

Regardless whether those whom I meet respond towards me with anger or faith, may the mere fact of our meeting contribute to the fulfilment of their wishes.

May the slander, harm and all forms of abuse that anyone should direct towards me act as a cause of their enlightenment.

As a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by blame and praise. As a deep lake is clear and calm, so the wise become tranquil after they listened to the truth…

Good people walk on regardless of what happens to them. Good people do not babble on about their desires. Whether touched by happiness or by sorrow, the wise never appear elated or depressed. ~The Dhammapada

Beauty in nature

A beautiful object has no intrinsic quality that is good for the mind, nor an ugly object any intrinsic power to harm it. Beautiful and ugly are just projections of the mind. The ability to cause happiness or suffering is not a property of the outer object itself. For example, the sight of a particular individual can cause happiness to one person and suffering to another. It is the mind that attributes such qualities to the perceived object. — Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Nature is loved by what is best in us. The sky, the mountain, the tree, the animal, give us a delight in and for themselves. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Our journey for peace
begins today and every day.
Each step is a prayer,
Each step is a meditation,
Each step will build a bridge.
