He is serene.
He leaves everything behind him.
He does not take offence
And he does not give it.
He never returns evil for evil.

This is indeed one of the greatest and yet the most difficult of the Buddha's teachings to follow. Sure, we can study this, meditate on this, but of course when someone really harms us, the first instinct is retribution. It takes incredible humility and surrender to overcome that temptation and allow for the Lords of Karma to resolve that evil act of the other person. I heard one Guru say that when we are harmed, this is because of something we did in the past, so it was spiritual payback. But we need to awaken and break the cycle, so to speak, hence, repay evil with kindness and forgiveness. Difficult, but the cornerstone of true spirituality. Awesome post +Jendhamuni Sos thanks again…

Evil for Evil. Yes it is not the way, to walk away & leave it behind I s my goal. But I seem to be constantly fighting myself to keep from falling backwards to my confrontational ways.

This truth I find 2 b very beneficial 2 personal growth, wen a person realises th@ man is fallible & living our life 2 impress man is destined 2 fail & bring us un-comfortability & un-happiness. I fought myself 4 yrs, being surrounded by men who think kindness is weakness made me question it many times. I realise it's a weakness 2 feel the need 2 impress man. I now av no problem being overtly peaceful, & I'm glad I learnt th@ b4 my girl was born 🙂
