Letting go is the path to freedom

One of the essential tasks for living a wise life is letting go. Letting go is the path to freedom. It is only by letting go of the hopes, the fears, the pain, the past, the stories that have a hold on us that we can quiet our mind and open our heart. ~ Jack Kornfield

Not feeling well these days, my uncle passed away yesterday morning living in another state 250 k.m away from my town due to kidney failure. He was suffering from disease since last three months and he was repeatedly calling me to see him, but it was not possible to visit there due to covid 19 lockdown. The day before yesterday he called me last time that he will not survive for more time and yesterday on the way to his home I got the news of his death. Missing his smiling face every moment. Good night from here Jen.

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
