Do Not Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

+Jendhamuni Sos a beautiful picture and message to those who have lost a loved one.  Our loved one's will return to us, through their spirits, and will communicate with us when warranted.  Thanks for sharing.  Godspeed

True mourning is actually a selfish emotion. We cry of our loss. The death don't loose a thing.

Wow +Jendhamuni Sos ! Beautiful words and thought. If one digs further, one finds that we are soul bearing a body and not body bearing the soul. Further, the soul is like energy… can not be created and can not be destroyed but transformed from one to another!

Live & Die for Buddhism

My Reflection

This site is a tribute to Buddhism. Buddhism has given me a tremendous inspiration to be who and where I am today. Although I came to America at a very young age, however, I never once forget who I am and where I came from. One thing I know for sure is I was born as a Buddhist, live as a Buddhist and will leave this earth as a Buddhist. I do not believe in superstition. I only believe in karma.

Tipitaka: The pali canon (Readings in Theravada Buddhism). A vast body of literature in English translation the texts add up to several thousand printed pages. Most -- but not all -- of the Canon has already been published in English over the years. Although only a small fraction of these texts are available here at Access to Insight, this collection can nonetheless be a very good place to start.
